GET 'INTRIGUED' AT THE

2008 FALL PLAY READING FESTIVAL!

A popular yearly tradition, the FALL PLAY READING FESTIVAL presents an

exciting array of classic and contemporary plays to audiences in

an intimate “salon style” staged reading atmosphere,

performed by some of the finest local talent in Los Angeles.

Performances are general admission.

Seats may be secured by sending an RSVP to playreadings@neighborhoodplayhouse.net. There is a $10 ‘suggested donation’ at the door.

INTRIUGE is the name of the game in the 2008 festival line up, and nothing is what it first seems in this year's bevy of classic comedies and spine tingling new thrillers...

THE WEIR

by Conor McPherson

Directed by Suzan Fairchild

A rainy night. A pub in rural Dublin. A strange female visitor.  The local men weave tales of the supernatural in an attempt to impress. However, the tables are soon turned when the visitor spins a yarn of her own.  Connor McPherson’s Olivier Award winning drama is a funny and chilling spin on the modern ghost story, in which nothing is what it appears, and the matters of the heart that haunt us most.  Strong Adult Language.

Performance Location:           David Fairchild Studios

                                                501 South Catalina

DYING CITY

By Christopher Shinn

Directed by Craig D’Amico

In Obie winner Christopher Shinn's remarkable tale of loss and how two very different people handle their grief, we find Kelly, a year after her husband's death in Iraq, confront his identical twin brother who arrives at her apartment unannounced.  A powerful thriller about the human spirit, the unforeseen, and those left behind. Strong Adult Language.
