" * * * *...Mesmerizing. A taut, nearly flawless revival. Schwind's deft direction of a remarkably talented cast ignites Palos Verdes Estates. On par with Southern California's top Regional Theatre"

About Us

Founded by late television producer, Bob Wright (The Carol Burnett Show)  The Neighborhood Playhouse is a professional theatre in Palos Verdes Estates.

All productions are rehearsed and performed at the landmark Neighborhood Church: a stunning seaside palazzo originally built in 1927 as the summer mansion of business tycoon, J.J. Haggarty; to this day one of the most beautiful historic locations in Los Angeles.

Mission Statement

The Neighborhood Playhouse’s unique collaborative aim is to provide innovative, quality theatrical productions as a means of community outreach.

The profits from certain performances of each production are donated to specially selected charitable organizations in the Los Angeles area.

The motto of the Neighborhood Playhouse is

“Art is Alive
When You Embrace it”

and each effort strives to provide an artistic experience that challenges the mind, and stimulates the heart and soul of its audience and cast members.
